What's Not to Love About a Man with Tattoos?

CASSANDRE DAYNE

Oh yeah. I can get all hot and bothered just thinking about that early in the morning. Now you guys know I love hot and dangerous men, right? Well I can’t seem to get enough of them and I think along with the basic persona of a rough-hewn man who’s sexy and sassy and just gives me the shivers. Now for some reason that tends to go with a guy who has tats as well. I don’t know how that works but I’ve found when I put my characters together my guys almost always have some sexy form of body art. And the truth is that creative tattoos are indeed art. I have several friends who create from scratch beautiful pictures they adorn both men and women with. From sexy and sultry to military and dangerous – they’re an extension of where we are creatively inside. Tattoos and body piercings are also almost a mask of sorts allowing us to be who we really want to be behind our outward appearance. A lot of us are forced to hide behind who we are for our careers and family. So we choose to get a little wild.

That being said women also are enjoying getting either a large or small one that’s hidden. I don’t know if it’s about sexual identity or the feeling of being wild but for some women it’s a passage into sharing something that’s just a touch wicked. I love the idea and granted haven’t gotten one yet but the idea is there. I know we’ve all heard that you can’t remove them and a lot of employers don’t want huge pictures adorning arms and legs and other body parts. Well that’s the point – you can have these works of art located in very private locations. And I can assure you a tattoo parlor isn’t like what you’ve seen in horror movies. These places of business are clean and professional and the talented staff trained.

What about body piercings? You ever thought you’d want to give it a try? Men and women have had their ears pierces for years but what about other locations like the navel or your nipples? Or perhaps your tongue? For some I’ve heard that performing certain acts of oral sex is far more stimulating when the giver has their tongue pierced. I can only imagine. Mmmm… for some women and men of course we use nipple clamps in our moments of heated passion, chains attached for tugging – it’s not just about BDSM any longer. For women especially who love the practice, it’s not only a feeling of submitting to a Dom but the slight angst of pain is a very heady aphrodisiac.

Imagine if your nipples were pierced? Not only the feeling of the thin piece of metal scraping against the lace of your bra is sexy to me but envision a chain being attached and your lover pulling on the end during wild sex? Oh yes you can imagine the dichotomy of pain and pleasure, excitement surging through your body allowing the adrenaline to flow as he drives his shaft deep inside – whew. Hot and bothered yet? For many men and women body piercings are simply another extension of kinky and a delicious one at that. Whatever your form of expression the idea of body art has changed and I love the thought of my hot men with both. Yes, there’s another form including clit piercing and a lot of women find that very stimulating in many ways. I think you have to do your research if you’re really interested but again can be sexy and exciting giving you a hint of uninhibited wickedness.

In creating my m/m characters – there’s no difference for me. My guys tend to have tattoos and ride Harley’s and enjoy a bit of kink. They love their women hard and fast just like they love their lives. I think there’s something so refreshing about a man who can he hard bodied on the outside and yet oh so soft on the inside. What do you think ladies? Yummy today?

Hope you enjoyed and think about getting a little wild and wooly the next time you pass by a tattoo place – you might just have a lot of fun selecting the perfect extension to that wicked wide we all have.

WHY ARE INTERRACIAL RELATIONSHIPS STILL CONTROVERSIAL?

CASSANDRE DAYNE

Isn’t that a good question? And does that matter in writing romance novels? Well, the truth is I’ve seen some continued concern but for the most part I do believe it’s embraced with all the passion of writing anything else. After all, who cares about the color of our heroes as long as they have some enduring qualities that remind us why we love to read romances in the first place. I’ve been asked on several occasions why I enjoy writing interracial romances and the truth is I think I’m color blind in all aspects of people including relationships. I don’t care if the men I crave are black, white or purple. Sensuality and desire come in many forms and in truth I love black men. I think they are sassy and sexy and…but then again I have a craving for American Indians and Puerto Ricans too so. Hey – I can’t help myself and it has nothing to do with being an erotic romance author. Is it because of my upbringing and the fact I was taught never to be prejudice?

In truth I think it’s a little bit of both. I enjoy all flavors, sizes and shapes of men. Let’s face it -- I simply love men! I also don’t mind sending a message that whether you’re involved with someone from another race or of the same sex, love is love and passion ignites from where your heart takes you. I personally hate discrimination and do everything that I can to educate others in my writing about equality. I’ve been very blessed to have written several interracial romances over the last year or so. Even my very first piece published was about my real life UPS man who happens to be chocolate laced in variety. He’s also simply a wonderful guy and fun to talk to.

I penned a piece that combines three of my enjoyments – interracial, same sex including a polyamory situation and BDSM. What could be better? Throw in aspects of a Knight in Shining armor who has a terrible secret and I’m hooked. What I think endures us probably to the characters in the stories are some flaw they have along with those hidden secrets. We all have lives that hide something or that we’re worried about and sometimes that can be based on certain biases we had to endure during our experiences with love, family, friends and our work relationships. Doesn’t that sound like a delicious read to you and do you see color in the aspect of the book? You shouldn’t, but that’s just my opinion.

I guess trying to figure out why is really not the question any longer. The truth is that the perception is there, whether we like it or not. I hate every aspect of the concept as I talk about and see love as love, but I guess we’ll always have narrow minded people in this world. I’ve actually been judged and had friends judged on this very concept and I’m not going to get on my soapbox other than to say, I think you really need to understand that if you believe in God, he did put us on this earth to love, not hate. At least that’s what my religious friends tell me anyway.

I had posed this kind of question on Facebook not too long ago and received some very interesting comments and then one poor girl private messaged me to say she received real CRAP from people who didn’t like her comments. Do you not have a hobby people or a job? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just don’t try and stop me or shove your beliefs down my throat. I don’t personally take that very well.

I’m saddened because you continue to see things in the newspaper and on line about hate crimes – not just based on color of course but sexual preference and religious beliefs too and I for one stand back and go – WTF? What is freaking wrong with people? I have my views. Trust me. Because I’ve realized that there are so many people who continue to have issues with interracial romances, especially a black man and a white woman, I’ve actually thought about not penning them any longer. That’s another WTF moment for me. If I do that then the naysayers win and I hate winners who do based on sheer stupidity. I enjoy writing them and I enjoy reading them and I plan on continuing. What do you think? I would love to hear your viewpoint on this. Do you believe love is love no matter what color or do you think races should stay with their own – what I’ve heard coined later “kind”. God, that alone makes me shiver. I didn’t know we looked different inside. Let me know your thoughts… Decided to be just a bit BraZen this morning.

Two for the Touch

What is it about that touch?

When I’m off researching I, at times become a bit blah with it and tend to research other things…such as pictures. Oh not just any type of pictures. Pictures of men mostly. Many of those pictures give me ideas for other stories, they drive up the inspiration, they make me smile, they may even become a character of mine. However it goes, I have come to appreciate certain types of pictures more so than others. While I like looking at a picture with one person it in, I would rather look at a picture with two men in it, and they must be touching, not necessarily kissing, or even fully naked, hell they can be dressed from head to toe, matters little to me.

What DOES matter is a certain touch, or the way they touch, the way it’s captured in that picture that leaves me saying, wow, that’s hot. Not a lot of pictures fit that wow, that’s hot category, but many fall in the very hot, very nice, wow, etc. The ones that really capture me are the ones where one man has one of his hands somewhere near or on the other man’s throat, or holding his face, or pulling the others hair just enough to tip his head back. The look in the more dominate one’s eyes, it’s almost as if you can feel the heat right through that picture, you can imagine what they are both thinking, the blood moving, the thoughts going on, the heat between them all due to a picture.

What types of pictures give you that stop and look and wow, just wow feeling?

till next Sunday!!

What's in a Kiss?

CASSANDRE DAYNE

Ah the power of a wonderful kiss. I there truly anything more passionate? I don't think so. I was writing a scene in one of my books yesterday that was so very intimate and so intense that I honestly stepped back and went WHEW. And then I had to smile. The reason for me the moment was so incredible between my characters was because of a kiss, including the look in their eyes, the way they held hands, the gentle touches followed by brushing their lips together and then the moment shared was really heated. I was thinking about some of the most powerful scenes in movies and for me the ones that stick out always include hot, wild and wicked kisses.

Think about your partner. Don't you enjoy the very beginning of making love when he or she is all over you kissing your neck, your cheeks, licking around your mouth and eventually nibbling just enough you moan? Don't you shiver when they continue licking and kissing down until they reach your chest, maybe going a little further and beginning the oh-so-tasty naughty phase? I can tell you that I DO judge a man by the way he kisses. Don't get me wrong, there are times I simply like hard and fast fucking (yes I said the dirty word) but for the most part I want my man to kiss me all over. Whether gentle pecs or intense lips that will drive you into the heart of pleasure, I want it all.

There are days I could sit in front of a fire, drinking wine perhaps and listening to some soulful music, and he and I are doing nothing more than kissing for a full hour. Granted, I KNOW eventually the kissing is going to lead to something much more...shall we say kinky, but we wouldn't be going there without such a bonding session between us. Sometimes I think kissing truly brings couples closer together, not only as lovers but as friends and companions. You've seen the kisses between older couples either on television or on the street and you go "awe". Right? You remember the days you kissed your sexy man for the first time and loved every second of his scent and the sensuous way he held you.

So why aren't you doing more of that today? Are we as couples so damn busy we can't do anything but the light pec on the cheek. You know, "gotta run honey and see ya tonight" kind of kiss. PLEASE. I want more. I crave more. I HAVE to have more. So that's why I judge my man and the way he kisses. His lips are soft, his hands are hungry and the rest of him tells me in no uncertain terms I belong to him.  Mmmm... Getting all hot and bothered just thinking about his sexy kiss. I love the way he tastes and the way his tongue entwines with mine. I love the feel of his arms wrapped around me. Yes. YES!

Can you feel it? Can you remember? It's past time for you to try kissing and little else again. Well, I say that and I know I want more but I need to feel the intimacy with my man and kissing for me gets my jets going full stream. I thought I'd give you a sexy little picture (and yes naysayers it's purchased) to remind you why a kiss is so incredibly moanable. I hope you like and I hope you have plans for tonight...

Ah Pictures...The Bane of a Writer

CASSANDRE DAYNE

Since when did they become such a nightmare? Is this the death of certain creativity as we know it? Hmmm... I am in a reflective mood this morning. Well recently there has been a hell of a lot of hubub about authors getting sued for using pictures in blogs, on Pinterest and in other locations. Well... Okay so we certainly don't want our stories used for marketing ideas and not given credit so I can certainly understand. However suddenly there is this rash of authors pulling every picture they've had down from any and every location. Being a writer and trying to create not just a written word erotic aura or painting a picture around what I am writing, I've certainly snagged and used sexy pics of HOT men, alluring locations and others in my blogs etc.

Pinterest is also one of the guilty pleasures. You can either grab something from a website (and pinning it does list the source) or upload pictures and while you're NOT supposed to put any nudes on the site - um...er... Have you seen them? Heck, I consider myself a wicked girl and yet some of them give me more than just a little bit of pause. So authors have been taking down all their boards and wiping out pictures from their blogs. I don't know... Can you purchase pictures from reputable sites for inclusion in everything from your blogs to the use in book trailers or on covers? Of course you can, but I can tell you that the concept can either get pricey or you can have trouble finding what you're looking for.

You can find some sexy models and some intimacy BUT, and a huge but here, there are so many of the same models used I'm growing sick to death or seeing this one blond and this one dark haired guy on like a bazillion covers. How about you? Then just try TRY to find any black men who look sexy and not as gangsters and you scour the ends of the earth. I write a heck of a lot of interracial AND I find black men sexy. Why can't I find any?  Hmm.... Okay, how about homosexual or lesbian couples? What you find are two people holding hands and the occasional chaste kiss. BORING.

We as women want HOT pics of men and sexy situations. I want chocolate being draped down over a man's body with her tongue licking in very "strategic" locations. I want BDSM pics where there is the understanding of domination and submission as well as the kink. I want some cowboys who leave little to the imagination. I want sultry vacation locations where the couple is frolicking under water. I want the allure of her removing her panties and him gazing longingly. I want... Okay, so I want a lot but why aren't their sites out there where you can find these kind that aren't located on every single one of them? Heck, I have accounts at Shutterstock and Dreamstime, 123rtf and Depositstock. I scour the Internet like a vulture trying to find photographers where I can actually AFFORD to purchase some pictures (you know I make millions writing books, right?)

Guess what - if they exist I must not be looking in the right location and GOD knows I don't mean porn guys. I want artistic and beautiful and hopefully reasonable in cost. Writers are creating a beautiful scene and to that end, we enjoy giving the reader an entire adventure. If you know of any other locations dear friends that might help a group of hungry writers out there, let me know. You can either post on here or leave me an email at cassandre@cassandredayne.com.  I'd love to know...

So today feels like the death of blogs and fun sites as we know it. To that end I'm giving you a few sexy pics I PURCHASED. Eh...they work but grow boring after awhile too. Back to writing and creating in a new way...
